Fauna
“Early birds”, equipped
with photo cameras or not, can set themselves at sunrise and
in great discretion, have a fat chance to meet roe-deers,
hinds and stags drinking or grazing quietly when nature
awakens. A real return to nature: calmness and authenticity.
End of september, start of october is the period of the slab
of the stag. An unforgettable moment for those who have
never heard it before.
Nature in all its strength. The used ones never get enough
of it and wait for this moment impatiently.

Fishing
As
from spring, our brooks and rivers will charm fishers
(and hikers): either fishing “au toc” or with
flies, you can go fishing on your own bearing your
fishing authorisation, or with one of our fishing
guides.
Imagine the multiplicity of brooks falling down in
several waterfalls, through meadows and woods, from
the summits of the Lozère mounts. The famous and so
beautiful “fario” trout climbs from waterfall to
waterfall these brooks, dressed in its nice dress with
red spots.
The Lozère is
called “the country of thousand sources”. As a
matter of fact, these feed the Tarn source (on the
Lozère mount) and the Lot (near the Bleymard). During
spring and summer, their sides are covered with
beautiful little flowers.
In winter the frost
carves the ice into beautiful lace.

The Lozère
Mounts : summer resort
In spring
nature awakens all of a sudden. Multiple flowers
make their happening after the long winter. It’s
the moment to step in the grass and walk on the
numerous footpaths, marked or not, by foot, by
mountain bike, equipped with your photo camera.
Nowhere else will you find such preserved a nature.
On the edge of a walk you may meet with young
rabbits or roe-deers, a hind...
In
summer,
look up in the sky: you will see harriers and
majestical eagles turning in the wind. You will be
walking through bilberries and cranberries. Heat
during the day and freshness at night, preserved
loneliness and silence, the ingredients for a well
deserved rest !
In
automn, magic
of colors: you will travel among a palet of colors
from gold to red. Be careful and you will discover
the fauna and our mushrooms.
It’s the moment
of the slab of the stag, very impressive.
The Lozère Mounts : winter resort
In winter,
the magic of snow: imagine the quietness of a
landscape covered with snow under a blue riviera sky.
At the ski resort, you will find equipment and
skipasses for alpine or nordic skiiing, sledges,
snowrackets. Discover this time the nature thanks to
snowrackets at your feet. And if snow has not come
to the meeting, don’t forget that it is also
wonderfully nice to walk under a beautiful winter
sun.
A bit of advice: always be equipped with warm
clothes (even when the weather is good) and good
shoes. Picnic lunchboxes are at your disposal.
